I don't think any game is ever really a "must-play", simply because no game appeals to everyone, and chances are, even some of the biggest, most popular games ever, there will be things that don't appeal to you specifically.

That being said, I've played it for a long time and I like it. Just don't spend actual money. :D

The little bit I've tried playing on mobile I didn't have fun with it. But I don't too much enjoy handheld/mobile gaming in general so take that fwiw

Just stub your toe instead. It's exactly as enjoyable and it takes much less time.

It's a must play game, disregard the haters, but either the PS5 or PC versions. I log on through my phone for non combat related things, but combat is tough unless you connect a controller.

Honkai Star Rail is also great, though, and since it's turn based it's much easier to play on phones.

If you enjoy exploring a lot in a open world game then yes I'd say it's a must play. The game has very unique areas that stand out from one another. They do introduce new mechanics for each area also. I won't say it's the best thing ever but they've kept up a consistently good game over the years.

No gacha is a must play. They can all burn

Literally the only thing I know about Genshin Impact is the porn, and it's not bad

It's the best BotW clone, and the gacha can be completely ignored.

Ignore the haters. No game is a must play, but if you like lore and exploration based gameplay you will probably like GI. It is F2P-friendly as well. I do recommend playing it on console/PC though, for the better graphical quality and control methods.

I am a hardcore Genshin Impact simp, but I absolutely could not ever recommend playing it on mobile. I've done it before out of necessity, but it's a really miserable experience without a mouse and keyboard.

That said, if mobile controls aren't an issue for you, then yes, yes, and heck yes, I highly recommend it. It's gacha, yes, but there's absolutely no competitive content except the occasional minigame where your gacha pulls don't factor in anyway, so there's no need to chase power. I'd say its biggest draws are the open world exploration and the extremely anime character designs, so if you're into that, it'll be right up your alley~

And if it helps any, I can relate to your experience a little. I tried it out I think while it was still in beta, but couldn't really get into it. I gave it another shot a couple months after launch and it just suddenly clicked. I've been with it ever since, and have every intention of sticking with it to the end~

The devs are more generous and there are not endless puzzles with pitiful rewards that are gated behind story progression to pick up the latest gimmick to use.

I bought an iPhone to play it with backbone. Well before you say Im stupid I wanted to try iOS anyway and that was the final push also my old phone was laggy
