This has been my train of thought for the Trails series & Atelier games. They're put out far too frequently that it just makes me completely disinterested in ever playing them.

I think it is okay to just start where you want and feel comfortable and see if it hooks you.

Unless you are super observant, some things will just pass you by and and I have one big rant about a quest in CS3 uhh spoiler nah. Sometimes the how is still interesting. Also my thought spoiler wasn't about some minor quest. It was a more major one. I never quite figures out why.

Huh? I've been waiting for this game forever, been almost 3 years since Cold Steel IV for me (and 1 year for Reverie).

It should be a big reset since it's the first entry of its arc, so you should be able to start with Daybreak.

I did call into work fake sick to get Dragon Quest VIII. Was worth it just to say I did it actually.

Every game has a "story so far" thing in the main menu you can read. Daybreak is going to be all new characters in a (mostly) all new region so it'll be a good entry point to start if you're interested.

Or you can put in the time like me and just play them all muahaha

Im up to date on trails, Ill definitely be playing this one. The things you guys are saying about trails is how I feel about Yakuza at the moment lol. But Trails is easily my favourite series at the moment so its worth it to play them all
