It all boiled down to GA last election. It seems republicans have stepped up their voter suppression there to make sure it doesn't happen again.

If the same states go red trump wins. So what states that went red have a chance to go blue this year?

There's a possibility with Michigan too.

New Hampshire for sure. Biden BARELY won and Trumpers have come out of the closet in droves and all the sane people (including myself) have abandoned Florida North these last few years and moved to Massachusetts.

Arizona is guaranteed to because the state legislature is working on a bill to let them award the electors to whomever they want regardless of how the vote goes.

Nah. Dems control MI at every level and the State GOP is nearing extinction. It and PA are pretty safe. WI. GA, and AZ are the ones to worry about.

Hobbs will likely block that.

I think like the others I'm confused about your question. Are you asking which states can flip from blue in 2020 to red in 2024? Those would be Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wiscosin.

Or are you asking (as your OP says) what red states in 2020 could turn blue in 2024? I think only North Carolina could do that. Florida and Ohio (like my state Iowa) have become too red. Texas is just a dream.

Edit: Rosstin316 reminded me of New Hampshire for blue to red.

it was going blue to red.

I don't think PA will go red. Ohio will probably go from red to blue and GA will definitely flip*

Vermont was something I didn't think about. Good thing it has almost no electoral votes.

Cali won't flip. It's too blue in cities to do that.

This isn't true. Even if Trump had won GA, he'd have still lost the race. Hell, even if he won GA and AZ he'd have still lost.

Hoping you're right about that one, at least. Maybe the state GOP's opposition to legal abortion and weed despite the explicit will of the voters has finally lit a fire under our electorate's collective ass.

Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania will decide the election, one way or another.

Really? Are you sure about that one kid? The GOP didn't do so hot last two elections there. I'm not seeing trump winning there.

Lol.

Trump lost California by 5 million votes last time (more than half what he lost the whole election by) and they called it for Biden within hours of the polls closing.

California is not flipping

Arizona and Georgia are about it. Michigan and Pennsylvania have no chance of going red. Wisconsin has a minor chance, though very unlikely.

All of them thats kinda the point of swing states.

I fully expect AZ to try and pull some bullshit to decide their election even if the votes go Biden.

It's hard to even really know.

Polling is in the trash and we've had so much poltical turmoil with Roe V Wade, Israel/Palestine and now the IVF stuff, it's hard to have a real clue-in as to if any states will flip.

I'm not saying it won't be close again, just there's a lot of underlying factors to consider that will be motivating turnout.

Wisconsin voters in CNN focus group are split on who they'd vote for in presidential election
If the presidential election were today, a group of voters in Wales, Wisconsin, who participated in a CNN focus group would be split on who they would vote for.
Four voters out of the group of 11 told CNN's Gary Tuchman that they would vote for Donald Trump and four others said they would cast their ballots for Joe Biden. Three voters said they'd still vote for Trump's GOP rival, Nikki Haley.
One voter, who said she would write-in Haley on the ballot, said she would do so because she is "very concerned about what a second term would mean" for Trump.
"I feel like we have to vote between the lesser of two bad choices. I mean really bad choices," the voter said.
Another voter who said she is backing Trump said she's doing so because "he's the man for the country right now." She commended Trump's economic growth policy and his stance on border security.
As for Biden, one voter said he would vote for the president because they aren't "worried that he's not going to leave office."
"I think that Trump may want to stay in the office or may make changes that precludes his leaving," the voter said.

WI could be close one
