I used one through the bank my mom works at. Which was Bank of America. I was so proud of myself.

My parents did when i was young but they were pretty financially illiterate at the time and didnt know that bank fees existed. The 100 bucks they put in it dwindled to nothing in a few years.

My parents had one for me from birth, and when I turned 10ish, the deal was anytime I got a monetary gift from a family member, I was allowed to keep $20 of it, and everything else went into the account.

I would fight it SO MUCH when i was a kid, until I turned 18 and they gave me a check for over $6000.

Yup. I could not wait to get my own bank account. I went as soon as I was of age to get my own account. I remember trying to do it online while in a computer class, then kept hitting snags.

Forget what the first snag was, then the second snag was I needed my driver license number. My license was in the car so I was annoyed and had to wait another day (this was during a period where we no longer had the internet at home since my mom stopped paying the bill). I remember telling myself I'll never run into this issue again, so I committed my driver license number to memory.

I eventually just made the account in person when I went directly after school one day with some friends. I think the reason I didn't do it in person before was the other branches closed by the time I would get there after school. Or maybe there was a different reason.

I remember using my first one. Don't think I remember the day it was opened.

Fees, lol. We barely have those in the UK.

Yes. I was in highschool and I opened an account with Wells Fargo because my dad banked with them and loved them. But they sucked with all of their fees. Never using them again

I don't remember exactly, but I think I was in high school, which was 20 years ago.

Bank of America sucked. Was my first technically a job forced my hand on it so they didn't have to cut me a check

Yes, I remember the teller said I have a nice autograph.
It wasn't. I was 11 or 12 at the time, and it was my first attempt on writing an autograph. That's also the first time I realized that some kindness are faked.
