If you switch it to remastered graphics and modern controls, it plays far worse than the original games did back in the late 90's. Camera loves to go haywire and kill you and the game is so dark on those settings you won't see important objects like keys on the ground unless you switch to PSone graphics. A lot of points, the game actually looks better aesthetically with the ancient graphics even.

Even at $30, it's a ripoff. At least trying to beat the original trilogy regardless but so far halfway through Tomb Raider 2, it's a complete mess.

I'm liking it but sometimes the camera gets stuck underwater which means I cant swim to the surface and drown. That happened more than once and it's pretty bullshit

There's been numerous times now where I have to make an important jump that will kill me if I fail, and the camera just freaks out right before I hit the ledge. The controls also like to go haywire too when the camera does a dramatic change like that as well.

Game was designed around a grid based system. Not using tank controls is just handicapping yourself.

Then why bother with making modern controls? They should have just remade the games instead then.

I died tried to swim with modern controls.

It's lazy as fuck

Been playing with modern controls throughout the first game and haven't had too much trouble with them. Sometimes I screw up a jump and Lara goes splat, but I've been making my jumps on the first try nine times out of ten.

I will admit the camera with modern graphics likes to mess up once in a while, and I wish Lara would lock-strafe when aiming her guns, but I'm enjoying the game otherwise.

Kinda sucks, considering TR2 feels like 100 consecutive underwater levels, lol.

The game is horrible!

I have tried all controls and all configurations on the xbox control pad and I couldn't even get past the first jump on the first level of TR2 or do anything on the assault course.

Without auto grab the game is horrible.

I need a new control pad as the one I am currently using the left thumbstick has gone where it doesn't centre so it drifts but I have been able to play my way just fine through the modern games but not the remaster.

Also I thought Lara couldn't walk of edges but in this she can.

The whole thing is just piss poor crap.

I don't know why people struggle with tank controls in these games. They work perfect and are extremely simple after about maybe 30 minutes of practice.

Because tank controls are ancient bullshit. But changing the controls on a remaster of a game designed around them isn't a recipe for success.

But seriously, this is what I would've preferred we got. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the games, but Anniversary kinda spoiled me.
