i7-12450H
32GB DRR5
1 TB SSD
Downside is 15.6(15.53) inch screen but I can get a monitor to run it to.

They also have a MSI at this store for $1600 that has half the RAM,a i7-13620H, but it lacks a 10 key >_>

I know, laptops, but mine died and I don't care to wait or deal with a desktop given my living arrangement of moving every few years <_<

Straight from factory?

Is that what we're calling pre-builts nowadays?

Would a i9-13900H and double the RAM justify the additional $389?

Or at that price range should I just be looking for 4080s?

my primary gaming on it won't be maxing new games, i still play plenty of console games but I do want something that should last another 5ish years ideally even if it isn't maxing.

you can probably just upgrade the ram on a cheaper machine for a lot less than that tbh. Its really simple as long as it has the ram slot

If you are t maxing things out then the price of a 4080 just seems like overkill. A 4070 will be able to play anything you want and then some! Save the money and get some games!

Saves me $140 compared to the other one.

I mainly just don't want to be bottle necked by the CPU. Seems to be the 'price saving' aspect of in-store models. Good GPU, middling CPU (for gaming)
