Excluding the GOP party - whenever I read "progressive" discussions about Biden himself, I've found a pattern that the loudest, leftist, voices criticizing Biden's actions and policies tend to not even be Americans - but are typically Canadians or Europeans.

Ok sure fine. But it's not your ass in the fire and your skin in the game when we have to pick between Biden and Trump in November.

It's nice to be completely naive and bitch and moan from 1000 miles away. Your point is taken, you don't like the guy. Why can't you make the same effort about Trump?

There is no metric in which Trump is better than Biden. Not one.

You don't like genocide? Trump would give you multiple.

Biden has been a lot better than I thought he would be.

But his failure to speak and act against Israel ethnically cleansing Gaza, has really brought him down in my estimation.

However, the alternative is orders of magnitude worse, and there is no question that anyone who isn't an outright bigot, or a puerile nihilist, needs to vote Biden.

Don't like Biden. Didn't ask for him in 2020. Will vote for him (again) in the general election.

The Dems really gotta do something about the "At least it's not Trump" tactic as I would much rather become an Ex-Pat if the DNC can't put somebody in touch with the American populous by next cycle.

why hasn't anyone thought "hey, what if we didn't have to choose between two evils? how about a good candidate for once?"

yeah, people do think that, but elections come around and they're like "oh shit, we didn't get that good candidate...but this election is the most important one so we have to do the lesser of two evils shit again, but surely next election cycle things will change and we will finally have a good option"
then rinse and repeat.

Primary voters in 2020 chose Biden over Sanders - this whole train of history starts during primaries. You get to pick your perfect candidate then. Unfortunate that most young people don't even participate.

Please quit acting like you don't know damn well that the incumbent president always ends up being the nominee for a 2nd term if there isn't a massive scandal, which Biden hasn't had as much as Republicans are creaming for one.

what about my post says implies that I'm feigning ignorance with incumbents? that's part of the problem and one of the dumbest traditions.

The other side of the coin can also be true. I've been urging people to vote Biden in November even if they have to tell themselves "I'm not pro-Biden, I'm anti-Trump" and I'm not American.

Refusing to participate in a lesser-of-two-evils situation is neither effective nor mature, and it absolutely does not then give you the right to say "my hands are clean." Anyone who doesn't vote against Trump this November does not have clean hands, and they should be constantly reminded of that fact at every opportunity. Whether he wins or loses.

Turns out it's pretty easy to be a general when you're sitting in a armchair.
