It's a nay for me, but less because it's bad or wrong. I don't care for the texture that way (using the lettuce as a "bun"); I'd rather have it in a bowl and eat with knife and fork.

No thanks. I'm fine with lettuce on my burger, but using it in place of a bun just disgusts me for some reason.

Right?

Sometimes you crave a burger but don't want the heavy feeling. You get the juiciness and the richness from the patty, the melt from the cheese, refreshing onion, and crisp lettuce. Hardly disgusting.

Can be a bit messy, yeah, but that can be rectified by eating slower and using napkins.

It's kind of how I eat burgers when going out. I always ask for extra lettuce so it stays in place and go minimal on the sauce so it doesn't become a slippery mess. It's pretty decent, but it's basically a salad wrap with a lot of extra steps lol.
