I had a few tough fights with bosses, I remember that.
Which boss is this? I played the fan translation version.

How exactly are you playing this game? Are you playing it as Nintendo intended or are you using a method that is quite iffy to talk about here on GameFAQs? If its the latter, youre probably experiencing some sort of anti piracy feature that Nintendo programmed into the game since I recall hearing on one of the videos discussing anti piracy features in video games that Earthbound had a similar feature that effectively made the game extremely hard to the point that it was on par with Dark Souls due to how frail Ness and his buddies were and how hard the enemies would smack you with even their normal attacks.

I don't remember the game being particularly hard when I played it.

Just remember there's a rhythm mechanic so you can do a little extra damage on your regular attacks.

I dont think Mother 3 has that. It just has some genuinely hard bosses.

However, if you are using an unintended method, that can actually make the game harder simply because input lag affects the rhythm mechanic in battle.

OK I've learned two things

1) I'm just bad as shit at any rhythm based games that don't involve colorful shapes flying across the screen. I can actually hit 16 streaks if I use the hypnosis trick, which brings me to

2) I've been underutilizing the status skills because of decades of jrpg conditioning to believe they're always inferior to DPS. >_>
