I love exercising. One of the best feelings in the world is when my muscles are so pumped that they want to explode out of my skin.

But I try to look at it like with how people use Ozempic for weight loss

Doctors who prescribe it for that purpose need to be audited and prosecuted. My mother needs that medicine for diabetes and fuckers like that are the reason there's a shortage.

I wish we all had that property, but alas, it's one of the human body's various flaws.

True, maybe not the best example, but was trying to say that drugs can have indirect benefits

Speaking of which I recall hearing they're developing one whose sole purpose is appetite reduction as a way to combat the misuse of Ozempic.

Hey guys
20 minutes a day is all it takes, and you can do it from your bedroom. Literally just do some push-ups, sit ups, and even some jumping Jack's. Get that blood pumping.

I'm not trying to belittle, but a lot of you are chronically online, sitting, destroying your posture, and feeling moody and awful.

You're on here too, and uh... I have been getting in pretty darn good shape lately.

I agree about it not being too expensive to get exercise, but it's not always so easy to find a time and space for it. I'm privileged that I can.

I love this mindset so much.

Its about doing what you can. Those little workouts add up to so much.

"I'm not trying to belittle you, but" has the same energy as "I'm not racist but". I'm not saying TC is trying to be deliberately malicious and my example is an extreme one for lack of a better comparison but (heh) there are most definitely better ways of speaking to people about the benefits of exercise than saying we're chronically online, regardless of whether or not that's true. TC doesn't know everyone here or their lifestyles.

I don't know what they said on Saturday either but I do think today's topic seems a bit harsh. I'm not personally affected but I can see how someone might take offense.

Technically one exists already that's fda approved for weight loss but not for diabetes (Wegovy). The only real difference is that there's less of the active ingredient. So it would probably still contribute to the issue of cutting into the supply of the medications for diabetes. That said, they're a big money maker. So there's no real excuse that they can't ramp up production.

There's also pill forms in trials now because injections are not popular with most folks. The research on the medication for weight loss use is still pretty early in it's lifetime. We'll see quite a few iterations over our lifetime as they refine products.
