The problem with discs isn't that there isn't enough storage space. It's that it's much slower to read from the disc.

Edit: Also, friggin' tinyurl with link previews off by default. Such a trash move.

Cartridges that use m.2 nvme tech would be the way to go imo. They already exist in 2tb capacity

Optical and magnetic media is done unless we're talking about long-term vault storage.

SSD cartridges are also a shitty answer. Unless the cartridge can be updated, it serves as nothing but a key once the day one patch completely makes it worthless.

I think it's pretty cool. You could imagine having some show that went 10 seasons all on one disc in 8k. Reading speed shouldn't matter in that case.

This is the future I want not streaming services.
