I cant stand the guy. Dude is a spoiled rich kid who talks down on people with less money than him (his fanbase) and just acts like an insufferable tool. I remember a few months ago when he had a nuclear meltdown on Twitter because he got his bag checked at the airport and was outraged that the gate attendant didnt know who he was.

Hes C-lost celebrity at best and a mid as all hell comedian who only got successful because of Joe Rogan.

His standup specials are pretty stellar.

His stand-up is pretty good, and he was one of the first breakout comics to blow up through Netflix.

But yeah, outside of that on his podcast, he can be obnoxious. I don't know if it's an act or it's gone to his head or what.

I remember listening to one of his comedy specials on Spotify about 10 years ago, as I was commuting to work, which I thought was pretty funny.

besides that, I haven't really been a fan of his.

A shitload of comedians fall into the same category and often times LARP as average joes or poor guys who made it. Outside of sheer luck it's extremely difficult to become even a mildly successful local comedian unless you have an infinite amount of spare time and money.

I watched a few of his Netflix specials, thought they were pretty decent, but even in those he comes across as kind of a douchebag. YouTube also regularly recommends clips from his podcasts that never seem particularly funny or interesting, but I also don't have much interest in podcasts in general, especially all these podcasts hosted by comedians who all just seem to cycle being guests for each other.

The last special he didn't wasn't good and it kinda threw me off. Also the only good clip from his podcast is this.

Ive seen a bit of his where he talks about how he was at a hotel and the hotel clerk doesnt recognize him and asks if hes Japanese because of the name Segura. And the joke is framed as haha how could this guy not recognize me? But then when you take shit like the real life airport incident into account you start to realize that maybe he wasnt joking and people not knowing who he is really gets to him.

Its kinda like how all of Louiss jokes about being a creepy guy who likes to masturbate turned out to have a lot more truth to them than people thought.

His real life actions have made him less funny to me as a comedian. Like when a really hot woman is really awful she becomes less hot.

Is he one of those comedians who are only famous because of guest appearing on a thousand different podcasts?

The entire rogan/burt kreischer extended family is garbage
