Well yeah, it's on Gamepass for the XBox so the total amount of sales could very well be zero on that platform for what anyone knows.

Not even that but like design of the characters clash so hard like you have Pokmon knock offs and add in random kinda Final Fantasy knock off humans in a way. One of those guys look like a bad guy from a totally different anime.

Yeah, personally I don't see the point in making a distinction. Whether it's "25 million CONCURRENT" players" or "25 million purchases" 25 million people have played the game in a month, which is better than the sales of the most recent Pokemon title(s).

As a Pokemon fan, this is a GOOD thing because maybe it'll make TPC step their game up and stop giving the bare-minimum to Pokemon fans. Or maybe it'll kick their butts in gear and get us a true open world Pokemon game / MMO. Healthy competition is always good for the consumer.

For me it's a bit of both. The crafting is simple and fun and catching new pals actually helps with crafting and resource gathering. You craft better gear to catch better pals. And catching better pals helps you make even better gear. It's a nice loop that encourages you to explore both the crafting/base building and monster catching aspects of the game.
