That's because it's where David Simon is from.

The touristy parts of Baltimore are fine around Camden Yards, the convention center and the waterfront. It's just like any other city. Some parts are good, some are bad.

The thing about Baltimore, and St.Louis is dat dey divorced demselves from der county a long time ago. So, unlike other cities Dey havent expanded by absorbing da surrounding suburbs. Because of that, crime statistics make da 2 cities look worse den dey really are. If you want a more accurate idea of crime in different cities, look at the stats for da metropolitan area, not da core city.

East and west Baltimore is bad, youll know once you cross railroad tracks and see row houses boarded up. Inner harbor is nice though.
