I will admit that I lost my temper.

I started off, mentioning how my dad told me about the broken cart.

Then the cashier cut me off and said oh, so your dad bought it? as if to shut me down right there and I cant return it unless I purchased it.

Well, I was the one who purchased it.

So at that point, I start to get pissed off because hes just trying to brush me off.

I told him not to give me a hard time about this.

He says Im not the manager.

Then I say, all right, then go get them.

At this point, the cashier was already cussing me out.

The whole customers vs employees thing is just dumb to me. Especially when people complain how dumb customers are. Sure, there are dumb people out there, but we all have derp moments, where we miss something that's right in front of us or w/e. I've had plenty of employees be rude to me for no apparent reason. I don't get the need for everything to be a us vs them mentality.

TC would hate me. Glad I'm a manager. I've literally played recorded audio of someone's previous phone call live on the phone to them so they could listen to themselves lie. Very satisfying.

Employers will always side with the costumers.

That depends on how good of an employee you are. I've had several guests tell the management I was out of line and the manager responded by saying that doesn't sound like something he would do and it was dropped there.

Vote raise minimum wage.

I've worked with customers. No matter how nice you are to them, some will use the "customer is always right" crap to you, even when you explain the polices and the rules. In one ear and out the other.

Morale of the story, no matter how big a sign is or easy to read, a customer will disregard it.

Im gonna send an email to their corporate staff, so hopefully they take action on these jerks.

Devil's advocate, that shit is so heavily regulated and dispensaries are monitored and audited like a hawk. Could be that's part of their operating agreement within the confines of the law?

I'd also add that even if not, with medicine they probably don't want to take back and resell something that's been in someone's home/possession for day or even weeks and resell it causing a customer to complain

of course, they wouldnt resell it It was a broken cart.

They are supposed to write that shit off or get a refund from the supplier.

99% of stores have extended return policies because of the holidays. So this example doesn't really work.

TC you made a kind of wild assumption that the cashier was trying to dismiss you when asking a confirmation question "so your dad bought it?"

They can't read your mind and who can say how coherent you were walking into the dispensary. You can't be coming to wild conclusions like that and then get angry about it. That's kind of your fault. They also shouldn't have called you names, but just based on what you're saying it's hard for me to be convinced that you had a genuinely bad customer service experience.

But I'm just a judgy stranger on the internet.
