Speeding through school and construction zones, driving around with high beams and fog lights on at all times, cutting people off to exit instead of merging behind them, weaving through traffic...

Driving is stressful enough without having to worry about what stupid shit literally every other car on the road is gonna do. Just this morning I had 2 near misses, and 1 one them would have almost certainly killed me.

I know I almost got hit yesterday going to work because some asshole got so impatient they speed up past me literally kicking up dust and the only way they could have done that was to go through the lines that were separating the merger.

Something I noticed is how bright headlights are getting. Some upcoming headlights are normal but others are just blinding.

Saw a video about that its more the LEDs are super bright and the actual units arent always aligned properly hence why its more blinding.

This is my biggest pet peeve. Coupled with those ultrabright LED headlights, these assholes just fucking blind you at night if they get behind you. This is what makes me feel unsafe driving.

Those are usually the LED lights and I've noticed some cars have auto high beams. I had to disable it on my 2022 CR-V since the threshold for high beams was very low and they would turn on during the daytime even if it was just slightly cloudly. Decided to just disable it altogether instead of setting a higher threshold.

Those drivers are selfish, they don't care about how they affect others. No signals, high beams or obnoxious lights in general, weaving through traffic at high speeds. Hell I once saw some guy in a big pickup truck cut around traffic stopped at a red light. Turning right on red was allowed here, but he went left into the turning lane to cut around traffic waiting in line, I guess because he's entitled to go first? Fuck us? I'm at work and bored so I made a diagram to explain lol

Btw at this same exact intersection, it's very common for people in both directions to immediately go left as the light turns green without waiting for oncoming traffic to pass first. I've literally seen public transport busses doing it, those irresponsible fuckers. I'm not much for cutting off my nose to spite my face so I don't usually punish other drivers' stupidity at the risk of my own safety, but I do enjoy making it difficult for them when I know they're about to do it and I'm first in line in the opposite direction. I'll punch it and make sure they barely make it without getting side swiped by me so maybe they'll think twice next time.

Just got back on the highway, and up to highway speed, this asshole in a big dually towing a 40 ft gooseneck pulls out in front of me to get into the median. The problem is he's towing a 40 ft gooseneck. He blocked both southbound lanes for a good 15 seconds waiting for traffic that was northbound to clear. If I wasn't paying attention I would have t boned him @ 65 mph. Luckily there was no one behind me to rear end me. I had to come to a complete stop. And because there was nobody behind me, he could have waited 3 seconds for me to get passed that intersection, but no.

I'm not one to road rage, but shit like this gives a clear understanding of why people do.

I was coming home for lunch, when I encountered this not even 30 min. ago. I was merging onto the freeway, there was a woman in the merge lane. She sped up to try to keep me from merging. She was too late and I managed to get on the freeway ahead of her.

Bear in mind that there were no cars to her left on the 4 lane freeway. She could have easily got into any of the other lanes. She got so mad she stomped it, passed me and then yanked hard back into my lane.

I saw this coming, so I changed to the left lane. She saw this and tried to speed up and swerve back into my lane again, but by this time a truck was in front of her and she had to slow.

By the time she caught up with me, I was exiting. I could see her yelling at me.

Road rage is so unattractive, in anyone. Like chain smoker or poor hygiene levels.

I will agree the headlights are getting out of control, there needs to be some regulation.

Ya, I've noticed it has gotten worse.
Certainly the Arms Race in motor vehicles.

People seem to feel entitled or almost itching to knock someone over with their death machines.
It has gotten pretty fucked up out there.

And yes the sheer amount of Big to Huge vehicles, has become downright laughable.
~It really is not funny, but I have to chuckle at the absurdity of what people are driving.

It really bothers me that drivers are not demanding smart cars only on the road.

If community, safety and arriving at your destination is the issue, then vent for smart cars. No one is pushing for them.

Just think of how your car can drop you off right in front or go to the restaurant and pick up your order.
