Very flattering, but now none of my decks work and I hate it. Deckbuilding is so much more work than just execution.

That's the nature of TCGs, and it's a good thing. Static metas are boring, and people enjoy breaking them. Today's rogue is tomorrow's meta.

Some people enjoy the deck building and metagaming more than they do the actual playing. Some are terrible deckbuilders, but give them the right deck, and they'll find ways to win.

This is all true, even if it makes me mad currently. My ADHD ass is all about those "you didn't see THAT shit coming now DID you" MacGyver moments. Comparatively, deckbuilding is sweaty. In that I literally sweat.

Game is Krosmaga, for anyone interested. No one is interested. I think the playerbase is maybe 500 total.

then this is a good thing, because it means that if it DIDN'T shift that way then they'd all be playing your decks

Yeah, that's one of the best feelings you can get playing a TCG.

But building anti meta is just about the most difficult challenge there is. Sweat is unavoidable.

The nice and awful thing about it being niche is that things don't get solved quite so quickly. I found a signature card critical to my season-dominating deck that I was literally the only person using.
