Only in graphics and sound. No chance when it comes to gameplay.
I'm hyped enough to maybe buy it on sale at some point when it comes to PC. No more than that. --- Chicken butt. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It depends on what you mean by that.
Cultural significance? No chance in hell. Total number of copies sold? Probably. Objective quality - if both titles were released as-is today which is better - the new version obviously. Place in people's hearts/nostalgia? The original is going nowhere no matter what games come out in the future. There's going to be a lot of people that never play (or play but don't love) the original, but they play and love the new version. And that's ok. Edit: I'll add this - there's PLENTY of folks (especially on GameFAQs where the average user is like 35) that would never have loved the remake games - no matter what. Like they think any change at all to the original game is bad, period. To those people I say this - the original game always exists and always will exist as-is. It think it's cool to get a new version of something. Stuff like this is very hard to gauge. Rebirth might be amazing, GOTY material, but it wont revolutionize gaming like the OG DID.

SilvosForever posted... Total number of copies sold? Probably. No way. The original has sold over 14 million copies, while the first remake has sold half that. ... Copied to Clipboard!
