Um, there's so much nostalgia from that time. Like half the '90s Nickelodeon cartoons continued on to the 2000s. You have the sixth generation of consoles, Pokemon 2000, ipods, Motorola Razr, etc.

Also just because something is bad doesn't mean it can't be nostalgic imo.

-95-05 was peak video games.
-SSBB's hype train was legendary.
-Early TF2 and Gmod.
-Flash movies.
-Early Youtube and Machinima.
-YTP (Where there's smoke, they pinch back.)
-Ruthless Aggression wrestling had its moments
-Japanese internet was still mysterious.
-The last look at a pre-smartphone world.
-People were more fun on Xbox Live and weren't all drawing from the same shrinking pool of zingers and comebacks.

The Golden Age of the Internet was the 2000s.

But the 2000s weren't a "feel good" decade like the 90s were.

Very early 2000's had some great cartoons that came in from Cartoon Network and went on Adult Swim which started in 2001.

I loved stuff like Futurama and Family Guy that started in 1999. Then when Adult Swim hit there was stuff like Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law and new episodes of Space Ghost Coast to Coast plus all kinds of other good stuff.

I had just gotten home from the military in 1999 and that early 1999 to about 2002 had some killer cartoons.

Yeah, the early 2000s were good. But the late 2000s, I'd say from 2005-2010 was an animation Dark Age. Other than Avatar TLA, it's hard to think of truly great cartoons from that era. (Western animation, anyway).

Also reminder that towards the end of the 2000s , Cartoon Network had that embarrassing CN Real period.

The music, the games, the cartoons, and way less social media are nostalgic. Actually calling your friends to talk to them and making plans. Having more hobbies like reading and going outside to play sports with friends.

It was less socially awkward back then, and there was less distraction from technology. Social media and smart phones killed it for a lot of people. Too much entertainment now. A lot of cancel culture and narcissism.

Politics was less radicalized in western countries. Now there's a huge divide between Democrats and Republicans. Twitter has made politics worse.

That's what I was going to say. Comedy movies, video games were on point from 2000-2010. So many OG's.

Also vehicles were still made to last and didn't cost as much as a house... well a house in that period.

OK, there was some great stuff in the 2000s and there will be nostalgia for that. It was a great time for the internet before normies took over and like I said before, it was also a great time for music and especially video games.

I just don't know if there will be cultural nostalgia for it, like there was from 90s, 80s, and 70s. I guess it could be seen like the 60s. Good stuff happened during it but there was also an air of uncertainty and turbulence.
