There's this boomer at the front of the line and no one's there to take his order (because most customers order via Drive-Thru or Mobile App these days).

Finally, a supposedly new employee comes and takes his order, but there's some confusion and she can't understand what kind of coffee he wants. Boomer gets all fired up, and screams "How can you work here and not know the menu?" After some back and forth, she finally gets the order right.

While waiting for his order, still fuming, he calls another employee and demands to see the manager. Manager arrives, and he tells the manager about that employee who couldn't get his order right. The manager tells him, "She's a new employee and not even trained to take orders." So apparently, she went the extra mile and took his order because no one else was doing it.

Boomer gets embarrassed and leaves immediately after the new employee hands him his coffee.

What a charming tale. Could have used a robot or a vampire though.

Might depend where you are. I go to McD's about once a week, and I never see anyone picking up a mobile order. Most order at the counter, and a few use that menu with the touch screen.

As for the topic. Rude person is rude. Hope the embarrassment taught him something.
