Havent played mirage yet, so idk anything about it, but as of valhalla, yes, the templars are winning and have much higher numbers than the assassins in the present day.

Yeah, I always suspected that the Templars were always higher in number and in power while the Assassins win a few battles here and there. My last AC right now was Unity and I didn't even finish it, so I'm assuming that's still the case.

Lost interest after they mostly dropped the modem day story stuff tbh but I'm guessing nobody wins and there can't ever be an end and some alien god or something is manipulating things to keep them in eternal conflict.

Origins is usually considered the best of the recent 3 but I honestly enjoyed all of them.

Odyssey is also a good time but you have to play as Kassandra, playing as Alexios is illegal.
