People in Hong Kong pay extra for Japanese eggs to eat them raw. I don't see why a raw egg is scary to you but raw fish is fine.

That isn't a Japan thing. That's a "everywhere but America" thing (for the most part). The requirements for sterilization for most of the world is different than the US and this causes differences in egg safety. It's why, for instance, most of Europe doesn't have to refrigerate their eggs while the US does.

i've literally never met anyone who doesn't refrigerate their eggs in the uk. All fridges have friggin holders for them.

Whether or not you do it doesn't have any bearing on whether or not you have to. Like, you can also eat cereal without milk; it doesn't mean you will do it.

Raw egg is decent, but when I cook eggs I leave the yolks (best part) liquid anyway, so it's not all that different. Plus the warmth is an enhancement.

And in the US you have extreme risk of bacterial infection. Not really comparable at all.

Raw eggs on top of rice and with some sliced beef is heaven.

I like sushi, but I'm very hesitant with any other meat or whatever. Considering I don't like eggs to begin with, I'd personally pass on this myself.

If you use it properly the paper is more for drying than cleaning, and some of them come with fans for that purpose.
