Oh my god, after they smoke? What could possibly be causing that.

I just had another good one. A diabetic patient who refused to start insulin 3 months ago, I adjusted his other medication because the doses didn't make sense.

"Doctor the medication you gave me is making me go to the bathroom all day, it's like I drink a glass of water and it goes straight to my dick" (this is an actual quote)
"Well sir, I didn't prescribe any diuretics, in fact I stopped one because you didn't have any indication for it, it's your diabetes"
"Oh damn, what can I do"
"Insulin"

Had a step father. He smoked but he would say when you take that first ever puff (first ever cigg) and you are hacking coughing and gasping for air only a fool would think this isn't unhealthy. And he was old-school back before surgeon General warnings and all that crap.

On the insulin. I work with a dude who has had his blood sugar over 1100. He's been hospitalized over or before. He takes 3 insulins one of which is novalog he takes 72 units of that a day. I take novalog mines on a sliding scale based on my blood sugar. Most I've taken in a day is maybe 30. This man still crams danishes down his mouth all day and gets all pissy when he has to piss every 30 minutes cause his blood sugar is high.

Wtf. Did they inject the whole pen? And jt didn't kill them?

My doctor keep giving me insulin pens despite my blood sugar been normal for a year, now i got like 50 of them on the fridge and half of them expired in 2024 >_>

I kinda did that at first with my levimere. They work smoothly on a first use but after that you gotta really put pressure on the button. I was clueless and thinking it was done. I figured it out myself though. Cause something just didnt seem right

No, they just dialed their dose, injected once, and threw the rest of the pen out
