It's probably been cheaper somewhere else, some other time, but I had the funds now and on Amazon(thanks, Swagbuck) so I got that. My older brother has been wanting to play it. So I should hop on tonight and get a few rounds in. No NBA due to elections, so the night is clear.

I've had the Xbox Series X since August. This is the first time I've put a disc in, and I wasn't certain if I put it in right at first. lol

You've saved about $30-$35 depending, not a bad snag. You get the Year 1 Season Pass which has four characters in it, although they're not the best. The community is pretty cold on them (Rashid is like C tier, the other three are D tier atm) but it has a ton of cosmetics if the character designer is your thing.

I'm probably not going to be even remotely competitive, as I'm not good at video games. I'll mostly be playing with my brother. I've always lacked dexterity and skill. Coupled with the pain and lack of concentration, I certainly haven't gotten better with age. It will just be a couple of 40 year olds playing around in our spare time.

The next game I'll pick up will probably be Elden Ring though. I wanted that, but my brother has been asking about Street Fighter for a while now so I figured I'd get something we could both play, even though he'd probably just watch me play Elden Ring all the same. Like he watched me play Dark Souls 1-3.

Comes with season pass and steelbook i think.

that being said GameStop had the 250 dollar collectors edition with the two statues for like 65 bucks a few weeks ago. In store only, pick up only so you had to get lucky and hope your local store still had some in stock.

At least Modern Controls (or even Dynamic ones) might make things more interesting for SF6 even at a super casual level. You can easily do your special moves with just a direction and a button with that. Makes it much easier to perform the cool moves.
