Just remember every single train passenger is a lost sale to the auto manufacturers, and lost sales to big oil. We can't allow it to continue!

Mostly looks to fix tunnels, which is good but more funding is needed to really bring the current lines to modernity much less add existing infrastructure. It's a good idea, it's a good start. I really hope this is a sign of more things to come and not the end of things.

Trains are awesome.
Take more trains and lobby for more trains. I'm in Massachusetts and whenever I need to go anywhere in the northeast corridor, from NYC down to DC, I'll take Amtrak. --- CyricZ He/him http://twitch.tv/cyricz42 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Holy shit, the one train sector that's actually profitable and makes the most sense is finally getting some of its stolen fare money back to improve its own service? MADNESS! Humble_Novice posted... ...So, how is this even a bad thing again? Who would be against this?Evil Republicans that vote just to spite blue states and love their own pork barrel spending but will fight tooth and nail to deprive blue states of federal dollars. Remember, this is the party that changed tax law to (along w/ give cuts to the rich) explicitly harm high tax states and thus hurt Democrats. They've pushed against spending on the NE corridor for decades. LSGW_Zephyra posted... I really hope this is a sign of more things to come and not the end of things.Well, it's something. NE should have high speed rail, there's no fucking good reason for it not to. DC - Boston has so many large cities practically in a line over just several hundred miles. ... Copied to Clipboard!
