Oddly enough, this game exists apparently purely on the mistake of Roy E. Disney and the Walt Disney Company, as Walt apparently never wanted another adaptation of Fantasia to be done and Roy said (after it was released of course) that the license was given out by error. I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact the game was received rather poorly. 5000 or so copies were ultimately destroyed when Disney pulled the license.

Trying to follow up on the success of Castle of Illusion, Sega put together a team of 6 people and they rushed it out onto shelves... maybe cause they knew they shouldn't have the license, but most likely due to the fact that they wanted to have it out for the holiday season in 1991. It came out in November of 1991, making the game now 32 years old. It's also never been re-released and while Fantasia has been featured in a music based game for XB360 and XB1, the Sega Genesis is the only system that has a platformer based on the film.

PriceCharting has it around 13 bucks for cart, 26 for it complete in box.
