Previous Gens: I played both ET on Atari and Superman N64 so..yeah.

More modern gaming: I thought the original Dead Island was one of the most boring games I have ever played.

An unpatched Two Worlds always stood out. I never played any of the real stinkers from the 90's that I can recall.

I played the demo a bunch of times as a kid lol. I thought it was pretty cool at the time.

Rediscovered the name of this game just a few years ago when I was looking through the contents of several ps1 demo discs.

Sword of Sodan on the Genesis. Godawful game all around. The only rental that I returned back to Blockbuster early because it sucked so bad.

Some freeware Mortal Kombat inspired game I spent thirty minutes downloading over dialup some 25 years ago.

In terms of games that I have completed and people have heard of, Dragon Age Inquisition.

The first King's Field game on PS1. Mind you, my brother and I bought it because we wanted a medieval sword fighting game, and we got it in the early 2000s from a GameStop based on the promising box art and summary on the back.

For its time it might have been cool, but playing it years after release sure did highlight how incredibly dated it was. NPCs didn't have faces, everything moved super slow, the controls sucked, etc...

We ended up throwing the disc into the Lake of the Ozarks. We hurled it like a discus from the fifth floor balcony of our resort the next time we were on vacation there.

X-men on the NES. Kids today just do not know the sheer suckitude that garbage company LJN was capable of.

I loved this game.

Probably Super Neptunia RPG.

Compile Heart and Artisan Studios had one job to make a passable non-port Neptunia game on the Nintendo Switch, yet they couldn't even at least make a "poor" one.

Now, I won't go over the long-list of details about everything wrong with that game (even when paired with the series' low-quality reception), but let's just say that the amount of blunders Super Neptunia RPG succumbed to in the game design department is so numerous and massive that the people who say Paper Mario: Sticker Star is the "worst game ever" are better off sticking with that instead of this.

It absolutely boggles the mind on so many angles on how Nintendo Life, a site that I follow fairly often, can score this dumpster fire a 7/10 (while giving the much superior Megadimension Neptunia VII a 6/10).

I often wonder if we'll see a similar jump ever again. Not that things can't get better, but so much "massively" better than what we have.

Nearly every new final fantasy gets up there, but whatever the sonic one was with the self insert character was so fucking bad, and I've played all the sonic games

From my recollection, it's probably a tie between Black Ops 3 and Mortal Shell.

There may be worse PS1-3 era games that I played but I can't remember much of anything that I disliked from that far back.

I can think of plenty of games that are totally not my style, but I can't call them objectively bad. Grid Legends, Final Fantasy 15, Halo, etc. But I genuinely think BO3 and Mortal Shell are awful games. They feel so bad to play.

Terminator 2 on Sega Genesis is an unclear mess of a game.

I remember playing that The Incredible Crash Test Dummies game. Thankfully, I dont remember much of it.

The Last Rebellion. It was so bad that the publisher apologized for releasing it, and they publish nearly every Idea Factory game in a 8 year time span.

Chaos Wars. I went into it actively wanting to like it and just quit after about 10 hours of playtime because it was just too bad (that being during a time period where I didn't quit any game).

Superman 64 as a runner up.

Lmfao couldn't help it that game is seared into my brain. It was horrible.

I didn't fully play either of these, but Evolution World or Mega Man X7.
