Something from the 80s probably... Tremors, Beetlejuice or Toxic Avenger if they count, then I guess Basket Case

Cube is good, and Species has some hot sex

Probably Halloween (1978)
I like The Thing (1982) better but I don't consider it a "scary" movie per se
And Big Trouble in Little China is the best John Carpenter film

I don't think I've ever watched a "scary movie" more than once, so it's hard to say. I'm like "zoinks that really browned my trousers" and then I never really think about the film again.

...Terminator 1? I don't think that counts.

I get way more invested in horror video games.

The Shining
I somehow forgot about the Shining because I'm a big dumb idiot, I've only seen half of it but it was really fucking good.

Us by Jordan Peele is also good, I know a lot of people didn't like it because the mechanics of the plot don't make sense but I don't think it needs to be taken that literally.

A couple of scary movies to watch is something called Killer Clowns from Outer Space and Eyes of Fire. Also watch the puppet master and wish master series, they're weird as fucking hell but still worth watching. Also watch the Hellraiser series to. Good fucked up horror movies.

The scariest is The Ring (2002) which in a way is my favorite. The original Friday the 13th and The Shining are my faves in another way.

I love Lord Jesus, Family Matters (for Steve & Laura which I typed up a beautiful alt from Just One Date episode) and FFIX (for Zidane & Garnet).

Had a few things in mind, but... eh.

For kids films, obviously The Nightmare Before Christmas. Coraline and Parnorman are both great, too, though.

Adult tends to change. One film I want to watch again is Abominable, which is basically Rear Window x Bigfoot. However, for classics, probably Creature from the Black Lagoon. For slasher, maybe Machete (but I'm not thinking of a lot else). Comedy, either Ghostbusters or Shaun of the Dead. Supernatural, maybe Suspiria.

Oh, Mouth of Madness was mentioned in the topic, which is also among my faves.
