Apparently now shows that do well will get better residuals or something

Imagine if writing on networks like nbc and cbs becomes as acclaimed as hbo or showtime writing

Yeah. And streaming services actually have to provide streaming numbers to the guild to make sure writers aren't getting ripped off. So it'll be interesting once those inevitably leak to see if people really watched Red Notice a billion times.

There will be a lot less shows and less writers working, so hopefully they keep the good ones and focus on quality.

I wish they were public so we could call them on their bullshit when they say things like Rings of Power and Velma are the most popular shows ever. It's a solid improvement though.

Or they will just turn out more shit and throw it against a wall hoping for a hit since there is no magic formula.
