I liked the voices for the characters and the music kept me engaged. Then again I've always preferred watching English dubs over the original language as I don't care to read subtitles throughout the whole series. A movie I might. Also sometimes, not often, a different interpretation of someone else's work on just minor things. Whether implementing different music choices, adding visuals, inserting or taking out scenes. Can improve upon the original. When I watched dbz online, it was the English dub with the japanese/original soundtrack. Listening to Faulconer is so weird knowing that's what Americans grew up with. I like the more innocent and lighthearted tone of the og music, and I like that it's not constantly playing. The scenes that are quiet in the og just feel like they should be quiet, but the Faulconer soundtrack plays over it. I also love the genkidama theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPBoESjzhZ4 It felt like the perfect song as representing the finality of the kid buu fight. It is a very well-made composition that I feel it's a shame that kids didn't get to hear it (although many seem to love the Faulconer replacement for this theme, so I guess that's good). It also works better going from Dragon Ball to DBZ. Our heroes eventually defeat the creature with the help of another Android as well as a chamber where time moves at 1/356 of real world time allowing for extensive training time. Fast forward seven years and our heroes encounter a new threat where an evil magician turns one of our heroes against the others in order to gather enough energy to revive an ancient creature to wreck havoc on the universe. The creature uses absorption techniques to shapeshift and steal our heroes abilities. Eventually the creature completely destroys Earth and kills most of our heroes. The remaining heroes eventually defeat said creature while fighting him on an alien planet inhabited by the gods of our quadrant of the universe.
