I feel like only certain types would consider a thread about a pride pin to be bait. Particularly the type that would get upset over a pride pin.

Yamatowas never trans you dork! Oda confirmed this twice. Even in the fucking manga it was explained that Yamato using male pronouns was because 1.) to honor the man who stood up to her abusive father and 2.) she was a victim of abuse herself by said father because he wanted a son.

TMOG posted... The argument for Yamato being a trans man is that he refers to himself as a man, uses male pronouns, everybody around him uses male pronouns and acknowledges him as "Kaido's son", and he prefers to join the other men in gendered activities such as which public bath to use.

The argument against Yamato being a trans man is that he has boobs and a single info box refers to him as "Kaido's daughter".

Outside of extrapolation based on Bridget's parents being scoentist, which I'm not even sure I'm remembering right on that front, there isn't.

Otherwise the story as presented is that Bridget's parents moved into the village and had twins. To avoid a local superstition concerning same sex twins that would have required them throw away one of their children they instead raised and present Bridget as their daughter to protect both of their children and later told Bridget this. At this point is when Bridget set out for their own identity and went into bounty hunting effectively to prove that there was nothing bad about same sex twins to the village and proving to be not a walking disaster from the funds from bounty hunting being sent back to the village they villagers discarded the superstition.

This of course didn't solve the core issue of who Bridget was to Bridget which is where Strive's story is culminating in Bridget accepting her identity and being assured by Kai that her true friends will accept her just as his true friends still accepted him despite becoming a gear.

So I find it funny the guy calling others fake fans missed that last little part.

So the folks trying to call it fake and discredit Bridget being trans were the ones who gave us the confirmation.

There's a fair argument to use whichever you want for Yamato given how (poorly) Oda wrote that situation
