no they are. They sell the hotdogs in packs at the fridge. The exact same ones they sell at the stand. The pack of franks in the fridge costs more than buying them one at a time at the stand so they're definitely losing money on them.

Well, just overall selling of goods is where their real profit is. Even if they're making 2-3% per receipt, that's a fuck ton of money, considering Costco is almost always busy (the ones I've been to) and there's probably thousands of customers a daily, that are spending I'd assume $50+ per trip.

I'd be curious to see how much money an average Costco makes in a day just from base sales. Google says over 500k a day. Imagine making 1-2% of that daily in just profits.

They can afford to sell Hot Dogs for $1.50 and Pizza for $9.95.
