I refuse to use 'cringe' as an adjective. It's a noun. It's a verb. Those things are confirmed. It is not an adjective, and I will never acknowledge it as such. I am happy to die on that hill.

Talking to my highschool age sister being or doing something cringe is the worse social offense you can commit and honestly I agree. It's not what everyone else thinks of you it's you reliving those memories I'm your head that's worse.

that's cringing, and it's an adjective by virtue of being... I don't remember the word for a verb ending in 'ing' functioning as an adjective but it's literally just the same thing as that for all verbs.

"Those fucking assholes"

"I'm experiencing stinging pain"

"That performance was haunting"

"I have a really loving new pet"

for example.

Again, there's a term for that but I can't remember it. I'm talking about "cringe" proper, not other forms of it. I use other forms of it as adjectives all the time. I just don't approve of people being lazy and using it as an adjective as "cringe" without modifying it to make it more fitting as an adjective to separate it from the noun and verb forms.
