Hitting an enemy's weakness basically one shots them, same for technical damage so you can plow through most encounters easily. You can Technical every boss fairly easily and Merciless bumps that damage too. Merciless is a cakewalk unless you get ambushed --- If it was about babies we'd have universal maternal care.
