It's not like you can devalue the truth just because it's used in a way to anger people who don't appreciate the message you're reinforcing with them. They're still facts at the end of the day which is neither good nor bad. --- Surely if I stick up for rich people on the Internet I'll eventually get a sweet job offer from them, right? ... If the only reason you're citing an opinion is so you can back up something specifically designed to antagonize then it just makes that opinion less respectable since people have used it to make bad faith arguments. But when it comes to facts you can't make them any less true by using them in an unsavory way.
