Not only did all of my elementary/middle school friends think it was real, but a good amount of teenagers and adults I knew thought it was real. Bewilders me to this day

I started actually watching in 2001 when The Rock was feuding with Booker T. Before that, I remember seeing Hulk Hogan spray paint NWO onto someone's back, and I did think it was real. But I was a little kid, maybe 5 years old.

Until I saw someone hit another person with a chair. I was like, there is no way this is just OK. Why wouldn't you do it all the time?

I honestly never thought it was "real" per se. There were news paper articles actually here saying it was garbage in the late 80s to early 90s. But to me it was more about how to do you fake a chair shot to the head or a stiff piledriver.

So I just got into how it was very theathric and liked to pretend it was a real sport with a pre determined outcome. I did think Santa Claus was real once, but not sure how much this lines up with wrestling. I guess it just depends how much you want to believe in things you can't see. I still did see Mankind being thrown off hell in the cell among other things.

I dont think so but not sure. I don't think I really spent much if any time in the 90s thinking about wrestling. I never really watched it but for some reason I did have a few WWF action figures.

I remember one was a guy in a green suit with dollar signs and I think if you moved one of his arms, a leg would do a stomp

I was never an actual fan I guess. I might have thought it was real in the 80s but into the 90s and beyond... at some point I figured out the truth but I still never really got into it, real or fake.

As a kid I was focusing more on video games

I had to edit my last post because I made a bad typo. So lost a bit here, but other than saying my older brother had given me or worked on a wrestling scrap book w/ me. Had all these articles about Hulk Hogan and Macho Man even as I said a couple negative ones. This post is a bit more terse.

Being in Highschool during the Attitude Era was awesome, so many people were into it and the Playstation was blowing up, whatta time to be alive.
