Then you'd end up needing a fancy GPU (or always-online) just to generate NPC dialogue. Do you really want that? Maybe once hardware better suited to it is commonplace, sure. i've seen a demo or two with LLM-powered chatbots. they're pretty impressive. some researchers also created a simulation of a world with a few dozen LLM-powered agents that went about their daily lives and interacted with each other, and their behavior and social patterns were remarkably human. --- http://i.imgur.com/A0TAfek.png ... Some company was talking about this for background npcs. I want to say it was ubisoft. They won't talk to you, but they'll have discussions among themselves that are ai created. Kind of like that AI Seinfeld --- I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness. ... Copied to Clipboard!
