This has always been well known hasn't it? Anti piracy software does nothing to stop piracy, at best just delays it a short time.

Vast majority of the time it just causes annoyance for legitimate consumers. Reminds me of when DVDs would always have something lecturing you about piracy, whereas anyone who pirated the film wouldn't have to see that obnoxious shit.

denuvo only protects the CEO/Board from being questioned by shareholders. They can say "we are doing everything we can to prevent piracy - we have implemented denuvo". Shareholders won't care beyond that, most people don't even know Denuvo is negatively impacting the game since most people don't know what to look for or know to even look for anything
