Played so many games that would have been excellent except for the fact that you can win if you pay X money, and if you pay no money then you have to jump through so many absurd, anti-fun hoops just to progress.

There's plenty of games that don't do this shit you just have to hunt for them. There's also a lot of great premium games.

I love how some are literally just things to throw money at for lightly animated jiggle boobs. Hell, there's even a game that takes it a step further where the main focus/selling point is by having your champions bang and have better stat rolls on their offspring so they can continue to bang and get better stats.

I will admit the only reason I know about that game is because of the ad images caught my eye. They know exactly what they're aiming for, market wise.

Guardian Tales is like one of the best games I've ever played.

It's on Nintendo Switch too but you can't use the same account on both.

Just play an emulator on your phone like a normal person would. Fuck them phone games

No the worst ones are the ads that are also games and you have to interact with them to get the close button to show up

Part of the problem is that the value proposition for mobile games is completely broken from the consumer side. People would rather jump through those flaming hoops, watch ads, buy currency, and be unable to play for hours at a time if it means they don't have to pay $2 up front, once, to own it.

What about those ads where they're so glitchy you can't even get them to properly close?

Steven Universe: Attack the Light is a pretty decent game, with no obvious mobile bullshittery.

Yeah.... I still to this day think that games like Wintermaul Wars and Footmen Frenzy would be amazing mobile experiences. Sadly, they manage to mess everything up. Even Plants vs Zombies went from a game that was beloved to a game that was completely monopolized to hell and back. I actually enjoyed some of PVZ2. I would have gladly paid 40 dollars for a full version of that.

I remember Evony did this - back in the day when they were ripping off AoE graphics they also had ads saying "Come find your queen" with scantily dressed women

Im not interested in playing a game on mobile unless it has eye-tracking to guarantee I am watching the requisite number of ad banners per minute.

Otherwise how can we ensure that the App Store and game developers are fairly compensated?

We live in a society.

My kids play these mobile tablet games and its honestly one of the most frustrating experiences. Constant back-to-back ads, auto-opening browsers and app stores, dozens of pointless things to upgrade/buy, completely artificial difficulty and infinite power creep.

Go spend two or three dollars on a game that doesn't come with all that bullshit. There's plenty of stuff on the app store that isn't designed to funnel your children into some sort of dopamine drip money well. Those games just tend not to be free.

Hate when you see those ads for a puzzle game that honestly looks pretty fun, then you go to check it out and its loaded with ads, time wasting bullshit, and like, base-building nonsense

I don't play mobile games on my phone. I don't play any games on my phone at all, never had and never will.
