When I was little it was Listerine because that's what the rest of the family used. At some point I switched to Colgate Total because it was easier to find and available in bulk but then they added straneous fluoride or some shit to it, which ruined it. The taste and additional benefits (eg tartar-fighting, germ-killing, etc) are what I care about most when choosing a toothpaste so I assume cheaper ones are lacking in one or both of those. I remember having to use Aim since there was no Listerine before and I disliked the bubblegummy flavor; that served as a catalyst to get me to start buying my own toothpaste. I might have tried Ultrabrite (the name sounds familiar) but I don't remember how that one tasted. I've also tried Sensodyne but I didn't like the coating it left on the inside of my mouth. Jason - SLS and fluoride free. One or both were irritating my gums and causing them to recede. Since I switched to that toothpaste my dentist has said nothing about gum problems. ... Copied to Clipboard!
