When theres no record of you ever having been alive and theres no one that remembers you, did you ever actually exist?

All memory of most individuals that have ever lived has been lost entirely

I'm planning on thousands of years.

I think 2000 years after my death there will be a documentary about me saying I was Chinese and people will be pissed

Assuming my kids have kids and those kids have kids, I'm sure there will be some record somewhere

but what if there isnt a record of it? There was a lot of stuff on the internet a decade ago or back in the 90s that is now just gone for good. Not on any wayback machine and not remembered by anybody

Well then that all depends on current and future data retention and backup technology, doesn't it? That's not really something I can estimate.

I'm not important. Work would forget about me after a few months I'm sure. I suppose only my parents would remember, and they're older now so I guess once they go there won't be anyone.

There might be the initial wave of gossip that would float around for a day or so.

Not much else though.

I do have something quite special I left behind with about 85k subs but it's not about me.

Also currently working on another nice project which I can hopefully finish in a few months.

Don't think I made all that great amount of difference in this life and can easily be forgotten.

But that's okay.

I feel like it was at least net positive, even all the times when I seemed to have upset others. :)

Probably instantly. I doubt Ill even have an obituary written about me.

Now I'm depressed.
