Had to delete Smash and figure out where to find my previously downloaded games, but it should be downloaded by now.

Well, the Update data got downloaded, now Im like 1h15 for the game proper. Im using the slower internet in the house, cause the Wii U just has awful range for some reason.

the download cancelled and it was more than 80% of the way through. I was about to be livid, but it seems it fixed itself.

im so mad

now im double mad did i really delete my save data

Same situation for me. Bought it near release for the WiiU as a gift for my daughter (She loved Skyward Sword).

Watched her play it quite a bit, but idk...just didn't grab me like all the previous Zelda titles. Hell, I think I've completed them all except this one and Twilight Princess.

Keep my Wii U plugged in for all the Metroid games it can boot up

Alright, got off the Plateau, and started heading toward Urbosa or whatever she was called. She was the only Divine Beast I didnt beat, so her + Ganon is probably good enough for me.

Play it on an emulator with unlocked framerate and 4K textures, it's seriously an entirely new game and it's amazing.

Eh, already started going through. Im hoping I can beat the game in relatively short order. Beat the Divine Beast, heading to the castle. Will have to grind a fair bit to get enough weapons to beat 3/4 DBs and Ganon.

Hm, I don't think I physically have enough equipment to beat Calamity Ganon, maybe if I spent a ton of time kiting to get Urbosa's Fury over and over on the first 3 Blights. Guess I gotta find more/better stuff

A lot of the best stuff is in the castle. You don't need to just load up and go through every weapon you have. At least you shouldn't.

Also, get the master sword and do the trials of the sword (or glitch through all of it, it's easy) and you'll have a good weapon always.

I just kinda wanted to rush through the game. Don't wanna spend a ton of time getting stuff like that. Probably would be easier if I found that fat Korok. I'll probably end up leaving the castle, but I really don't want to.

You can get the sword with a glitch at any heart number

The trials take like 5 minutes each with glitches

Honestly some glitches, like wind bombs and infinite korok seeds feel necessary. I can't wait for totk

Hm, I looked up the MS glitch, and it does indeed look easy, though I don't think I'd wanna bother with the trials.

You light a campfire a certain distance away from the Master Sword, stand between the campfire and the sword, then point the camera up. Stay at the campfire, which you should be facing, and then mash A, and you should just take the sword.

Im guessing it defaults to the sword because the campfire burns out?

My guess would be is that since it sorta reloads the area, the option to 'Take' the Master Sword is the first to load, before the option to pull it.

Got the Master Sword and went back. Fights go much faster and I'm more consistent, but Calamity Ganon is bugging me. His attacks don't seem hard to dodge/flurry, but it's hard to get the timing down, and I need to get them down to win in the long run.

I thought it was easy. Did you not do many shrines?

Nah, I was trying to rush the game. I've got 6 hearts and one stamina upgrade. Like 4 major healing items. Now that I have the Master Sword, it feels doable, but the last phase before the final final phase is gatekeeping me right now.

I think I might be able to beat him if I had a good read on the timing for Ganons aerial laser.

i kinda did the same thing. i beat it on wii u and held off on getting the switch till the special edition smash bros one and got that but it came out like a month before the game so it mostly just sat there besides for me playing golf story on it. don't think it really had any games out before smash except botw that i already had on wii u.

should just get the castle weapons to fill up your slots. between that and master sword you're good. just probably need to practice a bit on the bosses. doesn't the game have bottles? get some max potions or something too. i know i beat it all first try but i beat all 4 temples and had max stamina and pretty high health and did all the quests but skipped like half the shrines and only found the korok seeds i found naturally.

Just beat him. Was stressing out, since I lost my (only) shield right at the end of the Calamity fight, with no healing left and in one-shot range. Managed to clutch that. Then I got scared of the huge laser in the final lap, especially since I had to use the updraft to hit his final weak point.

So, with 6 hearts, 1 extra stamina gauge, 4 health potions (essentially), and wearing the Gerudo outfit.

Only beat Nabirus (or whatever, the sand one), because that was the only one I hadnt beaten in the file I lost. Master Sword didnt break that whole time.

Hardest bits of the boss rush, besides Calamity Ganon, were the 2nd phases of Windblight and Waterblight. Wind especially felt inconsistent, he could just decide to throw double tornados immediately at the start of the phase, while I was in the corner from beating on his fallen body.
