That's because it doesn't have anything impressive.
I've cleared that game and remember almost nothing from that game other than MC's mom is a strong party member.
Some said the world map navigation with the plane is great, but I've played Skies of Arcadia before it so I'm not impressed.

Realization that skies of Arcadia has never been ported on ps2 :0 . Only gamecube

Rygar is a good action adventure, although nowhere near as polished or impressive as the God of War series.

Extermination was one of many Resident Evil clones. A full 3D survival horror game, with some of the worst voice acting ever (which was actually slowed down or sped up to fit the lip syncing, with hilarious results), but the core gameplay was great.

Gungrave is a straightforward third-person shooter. The combat is fast and stylish. Sadly, the game is both short and overly linear.

Mister Mosquito place you in the role of a cartoon mosquito who has to suck the blood of various members of a family as they go about their daily lives.

Possibly one of the least known Square Enix titles, Musashi: Samurai Legend is an action RPG title starring a ridiculously pointy-haired sword-slinger. It is a cartoon-themed combat title played in the third person, and it was actually very good.

Based on the animation of the same name, Gregory Horror Show is a rather surreal title starring block-head characters. It is a survival horror-style adventure set in a strange hotel run by an anthropomorphic mouse, and inhabited by guests who carry the souls of the dead.
Your goal is to collect these souls and return them to Death, but the guests doesnt part with their soul bottles easily, and after you collected a soul, that guest turned hostile, roaming the hotel looking for you. More guests check in as you progress, opening up more of the hotel, and in order to succeed later on, stealth need to be used to avoid enemies.

Cold Winter... imaginate a FPS set in a spy-centric world that crossed James Bond with MacGyver and you are getting close.

SOS: The Final Escape / Disaster Report is a unique survival game that doesnt utilize the usual horror formula, but instead puts you slap bang in the middle of an earthquake. As one of the few survivors left on an artificial island city, you have to escape the collapsing urban environment, surviving harrowing situations as you go.
Keith Helm is the protagonist of the game, and shortly after the titles opening, he meets up with Karen Morris, another survivor of the quake. The two help each other out, and proceed through the city, surviving aftershocks and the troubles that they bring. Eventually, the story takes a sinister turn, revealing that the earthquake wasnt entirely unexpected, and devious plans were afoot.
Surviving in the city not only required plenty of agility and avoidance of collapsing buildings, but you also had to find water to keep your energy levels up, and the other survivors you encountered would need to be looked after. There was even a choice of companion, with each opening up different areas to explore.

I felt they really perfected the battle system with that one. Well, almost... The one catch being those fucking robots that appear as "random" encounters near the end with a long-ass animation attack they use every fucking turn.

Chaos Legion, another DMC styled game from Capcom. Not a masterpiece and a bit average, but i feel like it doesn't deserve those bad ratings.

Another Century's Episode series (JP only). Basically Ace Combat with robots from popular animes. Made by FromSoftware under the direction of Banpresto.

It was a good game, but people always compared it to Brave Fencer Musashi so it was seen as a disappointment. Also it was released at the peak of the hate on Nomura's artstyle, which again, compared to BFM that was also drawn but not designed by Nomura's.

Though if I had to pick one, it would be 2 since I feel like it holds up much better than 1 does.

If you have the PS+ for classics they have Dark Cloud 2. One of my favorite games ever.

Since it's not universally acknowledged as the best PS2 game, yes, imo

To the original thread question: Shadow Hearts: Covenant is an extremely good JRPG I barely hear discussed in "best of" lists. Ape Escape 2 is brilliant but I feel like the sequels in that series didn't get wide enough releases. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 slaps. The original Jak and Daxter is popular and awesome, but I feel like it got overshadowed by the radical tone shift from the second and third game.
