Draymond is dirty but the mf was grabbing his leg. Try jumping with one leg locked and landing with that leg while your other one is off the ground. Your weight pulls you backward back onto the locked leg.

I know draymonds dirty but this was all on the dude grabbing his leg

I've never had to stomp on anyone in wrestling or BJJ to maintain my standing because they had my leg locked up, and they were trying much harder to hold onto my ankle than Sabonis was here.

Full season suspension. Don't let him play at all next season. He ran the risk of killing someone last night. He will be lucky if he isn't criminally charged

Yeah, I haven't heard anything about him being dirty this season, and he's not quite as bad as the others listed. Still, some of the stuff he's done in the past is inexcusable.

Draymond Green, the only man athletic enough to win the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award and also be so unathletic that every time another human being comes close to him he immediately loses all body control and starts accidentally flailing around in ways that coincidentally involve kicking dudes in the nuts, gouging people's eyes, stomping on people and looking like you're deliberately rolling onto/into people and holding them down. It's really unfortunate that he was born with such a debilitating physical condition that forces him to do these things against his will.

Honestly its pretty safe to assume you should grab Greens foot to prevent him from stomping if hes ever standing over you. Thats just basic logic.

Yeah, Sabonis' big mistake was letting go when Draymond started lifting his foot. He should of held on like a pitbull, rolled on to his knees, and attacked with a single-leg. For his own safety, of course.

No, stomping on Sab's chest was not the only option he had for maintaining balance. And he has a long-witnessed habit of hitting/hurting guys when there's the slightest bit of plausible deniability, of being the one who starts these situations (not this time, but typically if there's any sort of tangling of limbs, he keeps it going/escalates it, trying to draw a whistle), of being completely unapologetic when someone does get hurt - even taunting the crowd in the immediate aftermath of this particular incident.

They're not my team but I like the Warriors. I like Draymond's game at its best. have defended his value as a player plenty of times and even a few of the incidents he's been involved in. But there's no denying that he just keeps pulling shit that should not be brushed off, and this one was particularly bad. I'd have argued for a longer suspension.

I still feel like Sabonis was trying to cover up his head and didn't intentionally grab Dray's leg (because when he fell backwards and landed with his arms above his head, Dray's foot was already between his head and arm). Some will disagree, that's fine and I'm not saying anyone's right or wrong there, and I'd agree that if unintentional he could have released the leg as soon as he felt it. But still, he released it once Draymond started to lift that foot. A technical is fine and I think calls for anything more are silly (and largely based off exaggerations/blatantly false things, like Klay Thompson saying Draymond was sprinting when the grab happened).
