I just thought of this, how did Diane Feinstein get reelected the last two or three times? I understand that if it's her vs. some Republican she would win, but surely there are enough political activists in California to not make this Senate seat a lifetime position for her.

Here's a quick summary if anybody didn't understand that post.

Feinstein is basically sick and unable to be at work most of the time. She has requested time away from the committee and Democrats were hoping to have a temporary replacement come in, but Republicans are blocking it. This is a tool they can use to prevent Biden from appointing judges, so of course they are all trying to prevent Feinstein from taking time off.

Collins is telling an extremely evil lie, making it sound like she's concerned for Feinstein's health when actually she's screwing her over. Keep in mind that for years Feinstein has said all kinds of nice things about these same Republicans like Collins, Lindsey Graham, etc. and how nice they are to work with.

Time to wake up, all these Republicans are hardcore extremists with no sense of humanity.

I was told that if people don't want to work, then they should be fired and replaced with people willing to work. I guess that doesn't apply if you are elected

There have been great, young, progressive candidates of color that have primaried her the last 2-3 times.

The one that picked up the most steam supported single payer universal healthcare. So Obama and Pelosi stepped in to throw their support behind Feinstein while knowing about her decline because they would rather have a senile person than a progressive. Sounds like a familiar pattern come to think of it.
