whats weird is it hasnt. I called the toll place and set up a payment plan. I honestly didnt even know the fees existed.

also my credit score is badbut it COULD be worse. Its 605. My income is high now(recent new job) and my partners is even higher. Im surprised we got rejected for it but I guess thats what I get for having a bad credit score.

Do you use Credit Karma? I once had a $90ish medical bill in collections from like 4 or 5 years ago that I had absolutely no idea about until I used Credit Karma. I guess it's related to when I had my knee surgery. Never saw the bill since it went to my mom's place. I paid the bill off then my credit score jumped up by I think 11-20 points. It's been a couple years, so I can't remember how much. I'd imagine getting this $1800 collections fine off of your record would boost your score by even more.

I was able to get my credit score from the 660s to the 760s in a year I think once I downloaded Credit Karma and started paying more attention to my credit. I also learned just how credit is calculated and started asking for increases on my two main credit cards despite never hitting the limit. Simply getting a credit line increase also boosts your score. My credit is now in the 800s.

No, I havent ever used it. Im about to look into it now, that definitely seems very useful. I use Mint for budgeting stuff and it gives me a credit score update sometimes. But Ive heard the name Credit Karma before, just assumed it was some scam or something.

He's also not wrong, not sure why people are acting like he is. Yeah, maybe he's getting a little too aggressive, but if your record turns up a red flag, then it's not clean lol

yep. One of the 2 applications was $40, and the other was $50. This other house we applied for had 5 applicants, where the landlord demanded all sorts of things.

like, agreeing to have a professional clean come once a quarter. Spend $50 every 2 weeks for landscaping. An extra $100/month for having 2 dogs. Its ridiculously out there in the housing market, even for house rentals
