Peachs voice acting was a bit weird, didnt feel like it fit but it wasnt awful. overall it wasnt bad.

I dont know why people raised hell about chris pratt. He performeed well.

I thought the movie was fun. The voice I had to get used to was Donkey Kong, but it wasn't terrible.

i read that it was really good i dont think ill ever see it tho

It was good. Got a hearty number of chuckles outta me.

I definitely enjoyed it. So did the kids --- my son is anxious to see it again.

Kranky Kong was probably the only miscast, otherwise it was a fun fanservice movie. Great Mario movie, but a film as a whole it's below average.

I don't think anyone was going into the theatre expecting it to be Citizen Kane.

Grading it on whether or not it is a good "film" is probably an effort in futility.

To be fair, people were apprehensive about his voice since the very first trailer. It wasn't bad after seeing it though. And I like that they started with the commercial and questioning if the accents were too much. Was a good way to explain away the accent.

But yeah the movie was great for fans. Jack Black was amazing as Bowser. And I actually teared up at the end from the nostalgia. It was during the scene where Mario and Luigi used the super star and the theme started playing

Of course not, I'll be lying if I didn't enjoy "bad films" like Kung Pow, I just don't pretend it's a good movie.

While it's true that there is no objective way to grade "art", I disagree that it's an effort in futility. That's why it's called an opinion. I'm just fully aware why there's such a large disparity between audience scores and critic scores with this movie. It's a very similiar experience with The Last Jedi where critics loved it but fans hated it and it makes sense why.

Sorry, I just use film and movie interchangably. I just think that movies can be judged on its merit regardles of its intentions. Just because a movie is a "kids" movie doesn't mean it can't be a good movie. Lego Movie is the biggest example of this.

I just got back from the theater. It was pretty boring and shallow. I smiled probably like three times during the movie.

I personally didn't like Jack Black as Bowser. I mean, his performance was great, but since the trailer I've thought his voice just doesn't match Bowser.

But overall a really fun movie.

I mean, I had a good time with it, but I acknowledge that it's mostly the mario fanboy in me.

The movie does great as an hour and a half "mario Easter egg" spectacle. It definitely succeeds at what it was trying to be, and I respect that.

Unfortunately, what it was trying to be has less substance than a twinkie.
