@gladius_ lets take a step back -

these topics specifically (Rihanna pregnancy and Super Bowl) have been quite toxic. A bunch of people, murphiroth among them (but not you) react quite negatively to anyone saying anything other than giving unequivocal praise to Rihannas move.

while I certainly could care less about whether she was pregnant or not or whatever she does (IMO she has been quite smug and overrated for several years), I did risk myself making a (neutral, slightly off-topic) comment in this topic, so I was quick and forceful trying to dispel any notion that I cared about it lest I be branded as basically the hellspawn of trump and the guy from the Fox News movie.

in the process the result ended being the same, sort of, so Ill just bow out of this topic now - no harsh feelings from my side, no preconceived notions regarding you will stem from this thread

yes, people tend to know pregnancies last 9, months, you get an estimated date of labor from your doctor.

I think her performance was kinda boring and lackluster, probably because of the pregnancy. No cool wardrobe changes, set piece changes, awesome dance moves, etc. It was very lazy looking and sounding, which it has to be to keep the baby safe, but I wanted a more entertaining performance, which she probably would've given with no pregnancy

I mean I have no reason to speak about Maroon 5s shitty performance because this topic is about Rihanna. It's possible that Rihanna would've given a bad show while not pregnant, but being pregnant makes a lackluster show more likely due to the factors involved. I'm confident that production would've upped it a lot for a high caliber star like Rihanna if they had no limitations, but they did and so did Rihanna herself, so it gives a more concrete reason of why it's lackluster, aside from just assuming Rihanna isn't a good performer

certain performers offer certain kinds of features for their shows. People would have felt scammed if they went to a michael Jackson concert and he chose not to dance. Imagine people going to an Eminem performance and he decided to sing melodical, classical songs and zero rap/word play, people would be pissed.

I do not why its a taboo to point out that certain pop performers, such as peak Britney, peak Christina, and yes, peak Rihanna had sexiness as one of the features of their shows. Thats why they danced, stayed fit, wore certain attires, etc. just this paragraph alone may get me banned or called an incel who just needs to watch some pr0n instead or something. Its not as if the One Direction guys or the BTS guys could have launched their careers by NOT being attractive.

Rihannas formula is a bit of dancing (as in, moving your body!), a lot of showmanship (scenery, lights, bangs, moving elements, dancers, etc), some sexiness thrown into the mix, intertwined with the dancing, and things like that.
