There's possibly a link between being transgender and on the spectrum, a large number of trans women I know are on the spectrum or suspect they are. Of course the right wing people will say it is to protect people with autism from "being groomed" or whatever. Acting like they're protecting a vulnerable group when in reality they're just harming a group. The fact they hate both groups isn't lost on me.

I meant more all gender affirming care or just transitional gender affirming care. A cis woman getting a boob job or cis man getting testosterone treatment is also gender affirming care, but I'm guessing those sorts of procedures are still going to be a ok.

Only gender affirming care for transgender people. In Florida not long ago a hearing they had to ban gender affirming care for minors had a republican get asked if it would prevent gender affirming care like breast augmentation for minors, and the answer was that it specifically made exceptions for surgeries like that for cis people.

And of course they have to go and insult autistic people too by implying they are are too impaired or easily impressionable to make decisions for themselves.

Trans people as a group were only the beginning. Missouri and the larger GOP have declared war on everyone that lives outside their norm.

I'm beginning to think we are literally like the middle east in the early 70s.

They just keep upping the ante. As trans people have been warning for years now, this has genocidal intent and there's no limiting principle. We've already seen a far right government take each of the steps the Republican Party is taking and it didn't stop there. It ended with death. We're on that path unless things are stopped and reversed.

All of this shedding crocodile tears for the children was merely for show. It was a shield that allowed them to spread hatred and cloak it as love or concern. It was never actually about the children. It's always been about maintaining gender and sexual lines and rigid hierarchies within those lines. This was always the end game.

They don't think trans people exist or can exist. They want them to not exist and will enforce that through the power of the state. They'll attack them early when they're children or later when they're adults, but the constant is always attacking.

This IS genocide. It's meant to kill us or to make our lives so horrible that it is impossible for us to continue living. And much like Idaho trying to implement a law preventing pregnant people from going out of state to get an abortion, some of these states are going to implement a transgender care ban that prevents leaving the state.
