Have you ever filed your taxes within a week of the final day?

I like how TurboTax wanted me to sign up for Credit Karma.

A service I already have and use <_<

I finally bailed on TurboTax. Was pretty pissed that they hit me with an unavoidable 60 dollar service fee on their 'free' service last year.

I think I used freetaxusa.com or something like that. (inb4 I'm told 'omfg I can't believe you used that site!' would be just my luck, lol).

Nope. I always file mine as soon as possible. I get terrible anxiety otherwise. Also, because I'm still legally married to my ex, I have to make sure I beat her to the punch so she doesn't file as married filing jointly and steal my refund. Of course, my refund this year was a whopping $14 from the state, so it's not like there's a lot to steal. It's the principle of the matter.

I used them too! TT wanted 180 for my "complex" return with three different states, freetax wanted 30 and everything already accepted. F*** TurboTax.

No, I always try to do it as soon as possible. I never owe, so I'd like my money back ASAP.

I just signed mine yesterday.

Had to have them professionally done because there was a lot of weird things happening that was attached to accounts inherited when my parent passed away, and it just got too complicated for me to do them myself.

Turbotax's practices seem pretty predatory but I guess they needs to make that paper somehow. I got 2000 back but they made me sign up for their deluxe service to do the requirements to get money back for tuition paid. Guess I can't complain for slightly less monies and zero effort on my part.
